A management consultant with 30 years of experience in strategic planning, research, and communications, Cara designs and conducts customized employee, client, and industry surveys, the results of which help organizations to make good decisions about human resources, target marketing, service lines, and corporate growth and acquisitions. For internal surveys, she works with the organization to design, administer, and analyze web-based, firm-wide or targeted population questionnaires. The results allow clients to examine the effectiveness of their HR and other administration, employee satisfaction, perceptions of the firm’s performance and potential, and needs and wants in areas such as training and development. She is coauthor with Raymond Kogan, AIA, of Strategic Planning for Design Firms (Kaplan, 2007) and with Barbara Irwin of Future Leaders Focus, a survey of architects and engineers of the Millennial generation.
Cara graduated from the SMPS Leadership Academy at the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland.
