After a rewarding career as an HR exec with top Architecture/Engineering and multinational firms, Barbara Irwin founded HR Advisors Group in 2003 to provide consulting to the A/E industry.

The vision was clear: issues around talent have always been and will continue to be the major challenge for A/E firms. Having worked with technical professionals and firm leaders over the years, Barbara knew she could help the people side of their business to flourish.

Today, HR Advisors Group is so much more than a strategic human resources consulting firm. Our clients have expanded beyond A/E firms to include tech-oriented firms, non-profits, and municipal, state, and federal agencies.

“People” initiatives will always be at the core of our work in Visioning & Strategy, Employee Engagement & Culture, Leadership Development, and HR Foundation.
