HR Advisors Group celebrates its 15th anniversary this year. Wow, where has the time gone?

Looking back, some things have stayed the same but with a twist:

  • Our clients had recruiting and retention challenges in 2003 and continue to do so today, but how we need to recruit has drastically changed.
  • We are continuing to look for ways to engage employees, even though what employees want from their jobs has changed.
  • Employees are still looking for benefits, but not necessarily the traditional benefits offered 15 years ago. Flexible work arrangements and no limits on vacation were unheard of for most organizations in 2003 but are commonplace today.
  • There continues to be a need for employee and management development, but the types of skills that need to be developed or enhanced for today’s workplace have changed.

Our clients have had to address new or evolving issues that have fallen on the shoulders of the HR department. In 2003, I never would have thought that a lively discussion would occur over safety – active shooter drills, panic buttons and the like.

And as a business owner and CEO, like some of you, I have felt the ups and downs of the economy and the impact that has on the business and our teams. But HR Advisors Group has persevered and continues to be a unique group of experts in human resources, training and organizational development.

We have an awesome team of HR professionals, many who have been with the firm for 10 or more years. We have grown and evolved to address the challenges our clients face today while maintaining our core values:

  • Deliver quality services and products
  • Match the right talent to the client to ensure a good fit
  • Provide strong customer service
  • Be responsive to our client’s needs
  • Create opportunities for work-life balance.

Looking forward, I am excited and energized about the new trends available (see blog on Peer Learning below), as well as new methods for engaging employees and making HR a more strategic partner.

I want to thank those of you who have helped make HR Advisors Group a success. I look forward to continuing to work and/or collaborate with each of you in the years to come.
