Every year around the end of summer I look ahead at what the final quarter of the year has in store. I use the transition into Q4 as an opportunity to check in to see if I’ve accomplished the goals I outlined at the beginning of the year and reprioritize or set any additional goals.
Setting organizational goals is an ongoing and fluid process. I find it both healthy from a process and personal standpoint to consistently check in to ensure we don’t get caught into the trap of complacency.
For us at HR Advisors Group, one of our 2015 goals was to develop some more engaging ways to share information and knowledge. In responding to our client’s continuous needs in leadership development, we’re excited to formalize some of the most common work we’ve been doing for clients in the hopes of preparing more of you to develop the next generation of leaders within your organization.
In the coming years, organizations will be facing major changes that are forcing them to look closely at the way they are developing their future leaders. The Leadership Emergence Program is designed for individuals who demonstrate leadership potential within an organization to learn the nuances, challenges and opportunities of what it means to be next generation leader.
In addition, we’ve assumed responsibility from NSPE for their long running “Synergy HR Roundtable.” We’re reviving and renaming the event the Engineering HR Leadership Connection which will bring together the brightest HR minds in the engineering consulting community to discover and dissect the latest issues facing the field. This interactive two day conference in April of 2016 in Fairfax, VA will include keynote presentations, panels and roundtable discussions that offer tangible solutions to prepare your organization for the next generation workforce.
So, how are you doing with your fourth quarter goals? Make sure to take a break from the madness of the daily grind and step back and focus on your goals for the last few months of the year. Stay tuned for more details around these events and if you’d like to learn more, please don’t hesitate to contact me at the information below.
